Not sure how to tackle the garden ? Asking for advice saves money in the end
Savage Garden Design -
GARDENS
UP FRONT

Low maintenance is the key in this front garden with central block paving drive. The right hand border contains shrubs, trees and ground cover for year-round interest. On the left, a rockery, with gravel mulch, is filled with low-growing evergreen plants which tolerate shady conditions.

Here at Savage Garden Design we believe that once we’ve designed your perfect garden, you want to keep it that way. That’s why we recommend adequate pest control if you’ve previously had problems with pests such as moles, rabbits and insects which have the potential to ruin any unprotected garden.

After your first year of planting out and most of your plants and shrubs have taken in you should look to enhance your garden by investing in the best quality outdoor garden furniture. Hand built solid oak furniture crafted in cherry and walnut wood by expert craftsmen in Lincolnshire will add a natural feel to any garden or indoor decoration scheme. From tables and chairs to bookcases and storage units.

PRETTY PRACTICAL

L-shaped gardens make it easy to create a separate utility area, screened from view by a curved trellis. In the main part of the garden, a curved patio surrounds the house and conservatory, with stepping stones leading to a decking area for relaxation. Cross the bridge over the stream, leading from wall-mounted water feature to pond, and make your way to the fan shaped deck under the shade of a cherry tree.

The curved shapes are echoed by the lawn, with central sundial.

TAKE HEART

In this tiny back garden, paving wraps around a heart-shaped lawn, with a narrow path leading to a sheltered bench.

Mirroring this shape, curved vegetable patches have pathways in between for easy maintenance, and the shed, compost bins and cold frame are tucked around the side of the house out of sight.

Steps lead up to the garage from the end of the garden.

FOLLOW THE PATH
We love the shape of this curvaceous garden, with brick path bisecting the lawn and leading to a shed at the end of the garden, via a second sitting area.

A mixture of gravel and paving makes a substantial patio without breaking the bank.
